My Unfair Lady

Resolution.

My personal life took an upswing, so that's why I haven't been updating so much. I have another place I blog. Actually, I call it journalling since it deals with much more personal things. Anyway!

I've been dancing a lot with my friend Alessandro. It took us awhile to establish what kind of relationship we were going to have, and I think friendship with firm boundaries will work best for us since the nut won't be my lover. LOL

It's been fun dancing. It's great exercise even though I feel like my body is so well attuned to salsa dancing that it's really not a great workout for me anymore. I totally cheat. I totally use the guy, but it's supposed to be fun not a workout. However, I sometimes get worked out. When I do, the next morning, my entire body feels pleasantly sore.

I knew after SF Congress that I'd return to the scene. I'm happy my ankle slowed me down back in September. It really brought me back to my body.

So, I have a goal to fit into this dress I wore in one of my high school graduation portraits by the start of summer. Don't know if I can do it, but I'll give it a shot. My friend, Jules, saw the picture of me in the dress and loved it.

It's a damn gorgeous Vietnamese dress. I really have no opportunity to really go out in it unless one of my Vietnamese relatives decides to get married this year, and even then, I'd be reluctant to wear it because it might overshadow the bride.

It's really just too formal for anything I typically do. I mean, if I went on a date in this dress, my date would have to wear a tux. It's that formal... and it's so bold and ethnic that I'd be stared at... but I love the dress and I want to wear it again.
